Privacy Policy
Tessera collects nothing. This page says that in detail.
What Tessera collects
Nothing.
Tessera does not have a server. There is no account to create, no login, and no analytics or telemetry of any kind. The app is fully functional in airplane mode.
Where your recordings live
All video, audio, motion, and GPS data is captured, assembled, signed, and stored exclusively on your iPhone, in the app’s own storage. None of it is transmitted to us or to any third party. We never receive it, because there is nowhere for it to go.
You decide what leaves your device. When you choose to export or share an incident dossier, iOS hands it to whatever destination you pick — that action, and that destination, are entirely yours.
The AI narrative
The plain-language incident summary is generated on your device using Apple’s on-device Foundation Models. Your telemetry is not sent to any AI service. On devices without on-device model support, the summary is assembled from a fixed template instead. Either way, no data leaves your phone to produce it.
Location
Tessera uses location only to record your speed and route as part of an incident dossier, stored on your device. Precise location is never placed in the embedded content credential — it lives only in the detached evidence file that you control.
The only network connection
The single time Tessera involves a network is the one-time in-app purchase that unlocks the Incident Engine. That transaction is handled entirely by Apple’s App Store; we never see your payment details, and the purchase carries no personal data to us. Apple’s on-device model framework may download its model files from Apple once; that exchange is between your device and Apple, not us.
Children
Tessera does not collect data from anyone, of any age.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new effective date. Because Tessera collects nothing, we do not anticipate substantive changes.
